Robins star Declan Eratt-Thompson has signed a new contract extension with the club, committing to us until the end of next season.

Eratt-Thompson, 21, joined the club at the start of the season having been released by Sheffield Wednesday, and has proved a crucial member of the squad given his ability to be equally at home in midfield or down the right flank.

He has gone on to make 23 appearances, scoring twice, although a foot injury kept him out for a chunk of this campaign.

Player-manager Jamie Ward said: “We’re delighted to have extended Dec’s contract and hope he’ll continue to add to great displays he’s consistently produced in a Robins shirt.”

Meanwhile, we have also completed the signing of attacking player Tristan Bennett from Burton Albion until the end of the season. He goes straight into the squad for today’s trip to Stourbridge.

Midfielder Jordan Hallam, however, has returned to his parent club, Scunthorpe United, for assessment on an injury he picked up in last week’s draw with Royston Town. Jordan has impressed in his time with the Robins so far and we wish him a speedy recovery.
