Ilkeston Town are pleased to announce that Seth Okyere and Jackson Blaize have joined from Championship side Sheffield United on loan until January 2026.
The duo arrive at the Microlise New Manor Ground ahead of tomorrow’s home match against Workington AFC in the Pitching In Northern Premier League.
Okyere and Blaize signed their first professional contracts with Sheffield United in July 2025 after featuring for the Blades U18 and U21 sides.
Okyere, a commanding centre half with an eye for goal, came through the ranks at Bramall Lane with the Blades academy.
While Blaize, an attacking midfielder, joined Sheffield United on a scholarship with the Blades U18s from Chelsea in 2023.
Speaking ahead of the move, Okyere said: “I’m really looking forward to playing, getting up and running, and showing what I can do.”
Training with the squad earlier in the week, Okyere added: “It’s good getting to know the lads, I know a few of them already, like Dylan [Youmbi]. It’s a good environment.”
