Ilkeston Town are delighted to confirm that Fedel Ross-Lang will remain at the Microlise New Manor Ground for the 2026/27 season.

The versatile left-sided player continues his stay with the Robins after featuring for the club last campaign and will be part of Tris Whitman’s plans ahead of the new season.

Ross-Lang arrived at senior level following an impressive youth career with both Manchester City and Southampton. During his time with the Saints, he earned international recognition with England Under-17s before beginning his senior journey following the expiry of his professional contract.

The 22-year-old also gained experience abroad with Lithuanian second division side FK Tauras, before returning to England for spells with Knaresborough Town, Garforth Town and Pickering Town.

His ability to operate at both full-back and on the wing provides valuable versatility, while his technical quality and attacking intent add further depth to the Robins squad.

Manager Tris Whitman was pleased to secure Ross-Lang’s services for upcoming season.

“Happy to announce the retention of Fedel. He’s a player that has an extensive youth career which we will be looking to continue to develop and give opportunity to for the new season.”

Ross-Lang is equally excited for the campaign ahead and is eager to show supporters what he can bring to the side.

“Big season ahead, ready to show the fans my ability.

“Exciting transitions have already happened, and I’m looking forward to bonding with the new set of lads.

“Tris and Largey have shown great faith in wanting me to stay. I’m looking forward to pre-season and showing the club and fans what I’m about.”

Everyone at Ilkeston Town would like to congratulate Fedel on his retention and wish him every success for the season ahead.
