Ilkeston Town are delighted to confirm the signing of forward Dylan Reason, subject to NPL and FA approval.
Reason becomes the latest addition to Tris Whitman’s squad after earning a deal following an impressive trial period during pre-season.
An exciting forward, Dylan has already made a positive impression on Robins supporters with his pace, strength and direct running in the final third, while his work rate on and off the ball has stood out throughout the club’s pre-season fixtures.
Assistant Manager Aaron Large believes Reason has all the attributes to continue his development at the Microlise New Manor Ground.
“We’ve worked with Dylan for a while now. He joined us on loan from Step 4 last season and showed what he was capable of by scoring goals at Step 5.
“It wasn’t just his goals that impressed us, though. He’s hungry, athletic and fits the profile of a centre forward we’re looking for.
“We gave him the opportunity to come in on trial from the start of pre-season, and he’s impressed us in both training and matches.
“He’s got a real desire to improve and develop as a player. I think the fans have already seen what he brings with his work rate, both with and without the ball. We’re really pleased to have him with us.”
Speaking after signing for the Robins, Reason said:

“I can’t wait to play in front of the supporters and I believe we can achieve great things this season.”
