We are delighted to announce that Saul Deeney has made his stay at the Robins a permanent one after winning the NPL Midlands Division title with us last season whilst on loan from Coalville Town.
Martin Carruthers said
“It’s another statement of intent from the club with the permanent signing of Saul Deeney.
“Saul was a key factor in getting us over the line in our end of season push for the title and his experience and quality will be invaluable to us again this season.
“A top goalkeeper and a top guy to have around the dressing room.
“He will have a positive influence on the rest of the squad.
Joining Saul between the sticks is former Coalville Town goalkeeper Tomasz Bukowski who was a big part of their playoff push last season.
“Tomasz comes highly recommended and is another player with step 3 experience.
“He played over 25 games for Coalville in the side that reached the playoff final so another player who knows how to win and be in successful sides.
“He has a great attitude and work ethic which means he and Saul will provide great competition to each other for that number one spot.
“Welcome Tomasz, we’re delighted to have you onboard.”
