We are delighted to confirm the signing of full back Sonnie Davis, who joins the Robins on loan from National League North side Bedford Town until October 10th.
A product of the Southampton Academy, Davis has spent time out on loan with Chelmsford City and Eastleigh, gaining valuable experience at Steps 1 and 2. It was during his time with Eastleigh that he established a reputation as a solid right back in the National League, picking up multiple Man of the Match awards.
Davis now joins Tris Whitman’s squad, bringing further defensive quality and an attacking threat from wide areas to the Robins.
First Team Coach and Analyst Rich Allen said:
“Once we knew Sonnie was available, it was an easy decision to bring someone in of his quality with good experience of both Step 1 and 2 following his time at Southampton in the academy.
“Sonnie’s qualities lie in his ability to defend 1v1, progress the ball from deep areas and create goalscoring chances from wide areas, which we’ve been needing in recent games.”
