We are delighted to confirm the signings of Mckeal Abdullah, Luis Parks and Noah Simmons, subject to NPL and FA approval.
The trio become the latest additions to Tris Whitman’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 Northern Premier League campaign, adding further quality, depth and competition across the pitch.
Mckeal Abdullah
Former Robin Mckeal Abdullah returns to the Microlise New Manor Ground after previously enjoying a loan spell with the club from Mansfield Town.
The forward has also represented Basford United and caught the eye throughout pre-season, most notably finding the net against his former club in the Robins’ final home friendly.
Manager Tris Whitman said:
“Mckeal is someone we have known about for some time during his impressive spell at Mansfield Academy.
“Mckeal is excellent technically and has a good record of scoring goals. Mckeal also brings attributes that allow him to play in a number of positions within the team.”
Luis Parkes
Central midfielder Luis Parkes joins the Robins following spells with Eastwood and Hucknall Town, reuniting with Whitman and Aaron Large.
Having been ever-present throughout pre-season, Parkes has impressed with his composure on the ball, energy and ability to control the tempo in midfield.
Whitman added:
“Parkes is someone who we have worked with over the last few seasons at Hucknall, so is a player we know can suit the system.
“ParkeTriple Signing Boost for the Robinss initially came in on trial but has impressed during pre-season, showing great energy and composure since stepping up.”
Noah Simmons
Left-sided defender Noah Simmons arrives after progressing through Lincoln City’s academy, where he joined at u12s before making his first-team debut in August 2025.
The Wales youth international is capable of playing anywhere down the left-hand side and has impressed the coaching staff throughout pre-season with his athleticism and attacking intent.
Whitman said:
“Noah is someone who we were aware of during his time at Lincoln City.
“Since coming in on trial he has impressed with his energy to get forward from the full-back position. Noah is a player who we believe we can develop and push back into full-time football.”
Everyone at Ilkeston Town would like to welcome Mckeal, Luis and Noah to the Microlise New Manor Ground and wish them every success in red and white.
