How have you found the first part of the season with ITFC?

“I think we’ve started well but of course there’s still plenty of room for improvement. Obviously, it’s a new group of players so hopefully as the season goes on we’re going to get stronger and stronger.

“We had a good FA cup run which has now come to an end, so our main focus turns to the league and getting promotion. I’d give the season so far an overall mark of B minus.”

What is your favourite new addition/change at the NMG?

“My favourite part of the work that has been done has got to be the changing rooms – they wouldn’t look out of place at the highest level of football.

“All the work that has been done is different class, everyone can see the owners have put a lot of time, effort and money into the ground. It looks a totally different place now to when I signed in the summer.”

Who would you say has the best banter in the changing room?

“It’s a tough one as I don’t really find many of them funny and I obviously can’t vote for myself! I would probably have to go for either Fents (Kieran Fenton) or Wayne Hallcro.”

Who is the most upset after a defeat?

“Again, it’s another tough one, as I haven’t lost a competitive game yet for the club. But having played for the gaffer at Basford for 18 months I’d have to go for him. When we did lose a game, I think it bothered him for two or three days!”

What’s the most memorable moment as a player?

“It would have to be getting promoted out of this league for Coalville through the play-offs in the 2015/2016 season. I signed for them the season before when they were a few places from the bottom and the following season we ended up beating Basford 5-0 in the play-off semi-final (sorry gaffer!). Then we ended up coming back from 1-0 down in the final at Shaw Lane and ended up winning 3-1.”

Who has the best taste in music?

“Well there’s only two people who have been on the music in the changing rooms and that’s Fents and Staino. They’ve both been decent, so I’ll

give it to Staino because he’s better looking.”

What team do you support?

“I’m a Forest fan. My dad used to take me and my two brothers when I was really, really young and I’ve supported them ever since.”

Best memory with that club?

“None!”

Do you have a superstition or something you do before every game?

“It’s not really a superstition but I like to change into a clean pair of socks after the warm-up and give my boots a clean before the kick-off.”

What is the most memorable game you’ve played in?

“There have been so many but the one that sticks in my mind is the play-off final with Coalville. It was a massive performance, coming from behind. They were obviously spending a bit of money at the time and we went into the game as underdogs.”

Who is the best player you’ve played with?

“I would probably have to go for Tom Cairney when I was at Leeds as a kid. He’s very good technically.”

Who is the best player you’ve played against?

“Alexandre Lacazette”

What ground would you love to play at?

“Wembley.”

What aims do you have for the rest of the season?

“My main aim is probably the same as the rest of the players and management in that I want to finish in the top three in the league.

“I know we’ve dropped a few points recently but I think once we’re back on track we’re going to be right up there.”
